    Babele

Babele flies the flag for social entrepreneurs and is a space for start ups to work on their ideas regardless of the "challenge". They also offer a platform solution for collaboration projects. It is well suited to run an incubation or mentoring programme as it does not have voting functionality.

You can use Babele for free if you are happy to keep your community open. Private and hybrid options start at 50Euros per month.

    WP Idea Stream

This is a free plug-in for those using Wordpress sites. It's an option if you are equipped to go beyond an out of the box solution. This won't have as many reporting or voting features as the above platforms but will definitely do the job of collecting ideas and offering members a voting and comment option. It can also be used in combination with Buddypress.

    Yutongo

Yutongo allows challenge owners to break down their principal creative task to a set of various sub-questions, letting participants brainstorm and reassemble the content (these are referred to as "idea fragments"). These idea fragments create complete ideas aligned to the project criteria. This approach is unique to yutongo and based on their approach described in the book ‘Innovation Karma’ written by yutongo founder Sandro Morghen.

You can set up one challenge for free on Yutongo and paid plans range from $24 - $99 per month.

  • Moderation and Community management

If you need extra support to set-up and manage your challenge recruit these skills in to your team. You can connect with Holger and Deesha via the About page and below is a list of other recommended moderators:
